ANNUAL AGM WILL BE HELD IN ELTHAM LIBRARY, 7PM ON 30TH OCTOBER
The NMA is a volunteer organisation that works to preserve and promote Nillumbik’s mudbrick buildings and heritage.
THE MAGIC OF MUD
The future of the mudbrick industry is bright. As the building world battles for a greener position we are sitting on the ultimate 'eco' product and the definitive environmental medium.
Eco Building Medium
Built using clay excavated from the foundations, mudbrick is sustainability at its finest.
Flame Zone Rated
The Mudbrick wall is rated to withstand a fire front for four hours.
Healthy Living
Built largely of natural materials, mudbrick is free from chemical-based materials of standard constructions.
GALLERY
In this age of conformity, mass production and ever increasing standardisation of building practices, mudbrick has retained its ability to be unique, by its components not being standard, although readily available.
ABOUT US
The Nillumbik Mudbrick association is a volunteer based group, dedicated to the protection and growth of Mudbrick homes and the Mudbrick building industry. Predominantly Eltham based, the group meets monthly in the homes and offices of our committee members and undertakes a raft of initiatives from professional publications to assist builders and designers, through to marketing and teaching projects such as workshops and festivals.
